A group under the auspices of Egboro Benevolence Food Bank on Saturday distributes food items and beverages to the aged and vulnerable residents of Ijebu-Jesa.
The event which took place at the palace of the Elegboro of Ijebu-Jesa witnessed many elders of the community trooped out to be part of the largesse. The food items were distributed among the residents across the different quarters in the town.
Some of the beneficiaries expressed joy at the gestures from the group. According to Mrs Hannah Dairo from Okenisa quarters, this type of gesture is unprecedented in the history of Ijebu-Jesa. She then prayed for the donors.
Another beneficiary who was almost moved to tears while expressing her happiness, Mrs Funke Alo from Odo-Ese quarters noted that she was happy that things of this nature happened in her lifetime. She was also full of prayers for the Elegboro, HRM Oba (Engr.) Moses Oluwafemi Agunsoye for such initiative.
