The Elegboro of Ijebu-Jesa, HRM Oba (Engr.) Moses Oluwafemi Agunsoye led the Egboro council of chiefs to take the first jab of the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine on Monday.

Health workers arrived the palace at about 10:45am and addressed the council on the essence of the vaccination. They took time to educate the chiefs on the likely side effects of the vaccine which include slight headache. They however advised anyone who feels headache to take just paracetamol, and avoid strong analgesics.

Addressing the community after taking the jab, Oba Agunsoye noted that the vaccine has been proved effective by world leaders and the World Health Organisation (WHO). He therefore encouraged the citizens to get vaccinated as the coronavirus is stillravaging the world.

Those vaccinated are expected to take the second dose within 3 months of taking the first dose.
