The Elegboro of Jebu-Jesa, Oba (Engr.) Moses Oluwafemi Agunsoye was on Sunday 6th December conferred with the Distinguished Personality Award by the Rotary Club of Ilesa Metropolitan.
The well organised event witnessed men and women who have made meaningful positive contributions to humanity given meritorious awards and decorated in recognition of their impact on the society and humanity.
While presenting the award to Oba Agunsoye, the General Manager of Uniq FM, Ilesa, Otunba Jare Yao Martins described the Abikehin-Ekun Agunsoye as a king with lots of positive differences. He emphasized the fact that the award was in recognition of Elegboro’s selfless commitment to the unity, peace and progress of Ijesa land since ascending the throne.
In his acceptance speech, Oba Agunsoye appreciated the Rotary Club for their humanitarian activities as an international organisation. He noted that the women wing, Inner Wheel Circle recently donated a project to his palace too. He therefore urged Rotary Club to keep up their good works as they continue to make positive impacts in the lives of the people.
The Chairman Oriade Local Government, Hon. Olubunmi Obeisun and the Divisional Police Officer for Ijebu-Jesa Division, SP Taiwo Oluwagbemileke were also among the awardees on the night.
