Going by the untold hardship inflicted on the entire world arising from the lockdown being promulgated recently by the government at all levels due to the comon ravaging global pandemic (covid-19) and it’s adverse effect on the economy, which tends to affect every home in the recent time, the Ijebu-Jesa Unions’ Conference (IJUC) executives under the leadership of the global President, Engr. Olugbemiga Abudiore on Tuesday 12th of May, 2020 took a bold step in ameliorating the suffering of the people of Ijebu-Jesa through the provision of the covid-19 relief package and food support program of the IJUC.
The program was kick-started by the welcome address by His Royal Majesty, Oba (Engr.) Moses Oluwafemi Agunsoye, Abikehin-Ekun, Agunsoye II, The Elegboro of Ijebu-Jesa, and prayer sessions by the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) representative, Islamic Clerics and a renown traditionalist in Ijebu-Jesa.
The items supplied in the relief package includes Beans, Spaghetti, Garri, Maggi sauce in good quantity and tubbers of yam which was distributed to about seven hundred and fifty beneficiaries from all clubs/Societies and Associations including several individuals, both youth and the aged across the streets of Ijebu-Jesa.
The provision is part of the agenda of the present administration of IJUC to alleviate the suffering of the people by making life bearable for the sons and daughters of Ijebu-Jesa.
IJUC is committed to serving the community with the support of every individual, clubs, society and association of Ijebu-Jesa sons and daughters globally.
