AROJOJOYE FAMILY DONATE MEDICAL EQUIPMENT, CONSUMABLES TO IJEBU-JESA GENERAL HOSPITAL

Members of the Arojojoye Royal family on Friday 10th December, 2021 donated some medical equipments and consumables to the Ijebu-Jesa General Hospital.

While presenting the items in the name of the family, Prince Koya Arojojoye noted that members of the family paid a visit to the hospital penultimate week on a mission to computerise medical processes at the hospital.

The visit, according to him, however revealed that the hospital is lacking certain equipments and medical consumables which are essential for the day-to-day running of the medical centre. Hence, the desire of the family to support the hospital with the items.

Speaking on behalf of the Ijebu-Jesa Unions’ Conference (IJUC), Chief (Mrs) Iyabo Adeleke who doubles as IJUC Vice President II and Yeye ‘Lara of Ijebu-Jesa expressed the community’s heartfelt gratitude to the donors. She noted that it is noteworthy to see indigenes of the community giving back to the community. She prayed for longevity and divine peace for the family.

Olori Omolara Agunsoye who represented the Elegboro of Ijebu-Jesa at the event appreciated the Arojojoye Family immensely for their support on every facets since the ascension of Oba Agunsoye.

She noted that the Arojojoyes have been very wonderful, noting that Oba Agunsoye has enjoyed massive support from the Arojojoyes both at home and whenever the royal family travels abroad. She then prayed for the Arojojoye family.

Olori Agunsoye also used the avenue to call on other sons and daughters of Egboro land to take a cue from the Arojojoyes and contribute their quotas to the growth and development of Ijebu-Jesa.

Items donated by the family include Sphygmomanometer, stethoscopes,
Glucometer with stripes, Nebulizer, infrared thermometers, Hand Gloves, Hand Sanitizers,
Bandages, Gauzes,
Face masks, and other consumables are too numerous to mention.

In appreciation, Dr Adisa who is the Chief Medical Director of the hospital thanked the Arojojoye family, the Elegboro and the entire Ijebu-Jesa community for constant support for the hospital.

According to him, “I have worked in various stations, but the Ijebu-Jesa experience is unique. This community is truly blessed with sons and daughters who have a genuine love for their community.

We have enjoyed lots of supports from various indigenes of the town at different times. They have shown us much love and respect. We enjoy working here.” He added.

Olori Omolara Agunsoye used the avenue to task the state government on staffing issues bedevilling the hospital. She stressed the need for more doctors and nurses for the hospital.

The brief event has in attendance representatives of the Elegboro-in-Council. In attendance were Chief Ebenezer Ojumu, Baale of Agbegan-Ijesa, Chief Oluwanisola, Baale of Oja Nla Ijesa, Chief (Mrs) Olanike Fapohunda, Yeye ‘Dofin of Ijebu-Jesa, Chief Mrs Grace Kolawole, Yeye Saloro of Ijebu-Jesa.

Also in attendance were IJUC Executives including Chief Adedeji Fasosin (Organising Secretary), Revd Eniolorunda Esugbohungbe (Auditor), Mr Lukman Balogun (Assistant General Secretary).
