Sunday, December 18, 2022 remains a memorable day as the Global President of Ijebu Jesa Unions’ Conference (IJUC), Engr. Olugbemiga Olusola Abudiore marked his 70th Birthday in grand style with special songs and Thanksgiving Service held at the New Fountain Baptist Church, Water Bus Stop, Iyana Ipaja, Lagos.
The celebrant who was described as a diligent, trustworthy, philanthropist, highly talented, humble and complete gentleman was invited by the presiding pastor, Rev (Dr) Joel Olakunle Alabi to showcase his music talent in gratitude to God by leading the congregational worship session.
Engr. Abudiore who was evidently happy beyond control took time to adore His maker with series of praise and worship songs in a Holy Spirit-led manner that saw the congregants moved with tears in sober reflection. He thereafter donated an undisclosed amount toward the church project.
In his sermon, Rev Dr. Joel Olakunle Alabi took his Bible text from the book of Psalm 90:12. He admonished every human creature to remember God in all their dealings, especially those who are lucky to attain the age of 70. Noting that they should no longer be bothered by worldly materials but move closer to God Almighty.
Flanked by his wife, Mrs Oluremi Abudiore and his children, Engr. Abudioure could not hide his happiness for attaining the 70th milestone. The church service was attended by kabiyesi Elegboro of Ijebu-Jesa, HRM Oba (Engr.) Moses Oluwafemi Agunsoye, Abikehin-Ekun, Agunsoye II, and his adorable wife, Olori Omolara Agunsoye who is also the immediate younger sister to the wife of the celebrant. The event also witnessed family members, friends and associates of the celebrant who came from far and near in their numbers.
The high point of the celebration was a first-class reception held at Country Club, Ikeja Lagos where Engr. Abudiore was joined by notable individuals amongst whom were Oba Agunsoye and his wife, APC National Assembly candidate for Ijesa North Federal Constituency, Osun State, Barr. David Seun Odofin, APC House of Assembly candidate for Alimosho Local Government, Hon. Lukmon Orelope, Vice Chairman, Alimosho Local Government, Hon. Akin Johnson and Alimosho Local Government APC Leader, Engr. Akande amongst other dignitaries.
Many attendees who poured in tributes described Engr. Abudiore’s impacts on humanity as second to none. Oba Oluwafemi Agunsoye described him as a patriotic indigene and strong pillar in the developmental drive of his hometown, Ijebu-Jesa.
In his remarks, Engr. Olugbemiga Abudiore who was full of gratitude to God for His grace and mercy, said God has been merciful to him and his family in all ramifications. He thanked members of his immediate and extended family immensely and described them as very strong pillar of support, noting that he is proud to have such a good and supportive family.
He appealed to the elites never to look down or discriminate against the lower class but to continually show love, care and provide needed support to anyone around them.
