TUNDE LOYE SHINES AS HE BURIES MOTHER-IN-LAW IN IBADAN

Yes! Death is inevitable but lucky is she who lived a long fulfilled life and have a befitting after-life celebration. Ibadan, the capital city of Oyo State agog as Mr. Tunde Loye, a US-based philanthropist and illustrious son of Ijebu-Jesa, buries his mother-in-law, Alhaja Rafatu Odee Otiti who died at the age of 96 in the early hours of Friday, October, 14, 2022. She has since been buried according to Islamic rites.

The Final Burial Party was held at Daylan Event Centre on Saturday, November 26, 2022. It was indeed one in town that every child will pray to give their aged parents. It was not the usual party. A perfectly planned event where all guests wined and dined to their satisfaction was overwhelmingly attended by royal fathers, captains of industries and other dignitaries from all walks of life who took time to celebrate the life and time of mama Rafatu Otiti.

Kabiyesi, HRM Oba (Engr.) Moses Oluwafemi Agunsoye, Ilufemiloye, Abikehin-Ekun Agunsoye II, Elegboro of Ijebu-Jesa land who was accompanied by his wife, Olori Omolara Agunsoye and Olodogo of Odogo Ijesa, HRH Oba Adebisi Owoeye led other royal fathers, chiefs and natives of Ijebu-Jesa land to the event. Asiwaju of Ijebu Jesa and Chief Executive Officer of Timsed Conglomerates, Chief Rotimi Obeisun, IJUC Global President, Engr. Olugbemiga Abudiore, Bobagunwa of Ijebu-Jesa land, Chief Kenny Olatunji, Prof. Babatope Fagbulu, Former Manager of Insight Microfinance Bank, Ijebu-Jesa, Prince Koya Arojojoye, a renowned poet, Oluwabukunmi popularly know as Bukmine and many other bigwigs graced the occasion.

According to tributes poured in from family members, friends, relatives and guests, they described the late matriarch as a very humble, accommodating, caring and generous woman who could go a long mile to make people happy regardless of their tribe, faith or gender.

Mr Loye who was evidently delighted at the turn out and caliber of guests who came to identify with him expressed gratitude to God for a hitch-free party and extended his appreciation to all attendees. He specifically thanked HRM Oba (Engr.) Oluwafemi Agunsoye and all his subjects for the show of love.

Alhaja Rafatu Odee Otiti was survived by children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. May Allah in His infinite mercy grant her Jannatul Firdaus.
